storia della baita la pesse

Formerly

The Baita La Pesse, which belonged to the Chabloz family, was used as a "mayen", an intermediate alpine pasture for mountain grazing.

Every year in June, the cattle would go up from the Plane farm to the pastures at La Pesse, at an altitude of 1,600 m, returning in September after spending July and August in the higher pastures of the Saint- Barthélemy valley.

Plane Farmhouse

While the Baita La Pesse is now used as a holiday home, the former farmhouse at Plane in the central valley, also recently renovated, retains one of its original functions: the wine storage and production cellar.

A wine that is the result of the recovery of the family vineyards located on the slopes surrounding Nus Castle.

storia della baita la pesse

Piero's hard but passionate work has enabled him to produce two types of bottle from these vineyards: "Blanc de Péran", a Malvasia wine made from Pinot Gris grapes. The "Bien rouge", a red wine made from the typical local grape variety: vien de Nus.
